What Are Some Good Skateboarding Companies?
On August - 2 - 2009
I am a 14 year old girl and I want to learn how to skateboard. I’m very new to it all, and I have about 200 dollars to spend on the board, trucks, wheels, etc. What are some good companies that make cheap but quality beginner boards and products. I’ve heard of Kr3w, Element, and others, but I want to know what makes these boards good so I can start skateboarding. I need help! Thanks!

okay first of all you’re a beginner you don’t need a custom board, not yet. I recomend not doing it because you’re goin gto trash that custom quick and be out a good $100-$150. Get a complete board already put together, most skateshop shave plenty of them also online there’s tuns i’ll post some sites of where to look. These are pro brand decks and parts. Basically all decks are equal cept maybe a few ounces in wieght here and there i’ve used over 10 different brands of decks and never had any problems, trucks not to worry to much about i’ve used half a dozzen different brands and never any huge problems some of my favorite brands of trucks are independant, thunder, krux, tensor, silver, destructo. Wheels not a big deal they all roll and wear out i recommend a size from 52mm up to 55mm. Bearings is where you’ll want to spend you hard earned money on, I use nothing but bones brand bearings they are the best, completely sealed so dirt and crap can’t get in them and last twise as long, bones swiss are more $$$ and well worth it. grip tape and hardware whatever works and fits I use MOB and jessup grip tape but use whatever, the colored stuff i scrap it doesn’t stay on very long, shortys or luckys hardware is what I use but it doesn’t matter as long as it fits. Basically you can build a nice custom for $150 with really good parts or just start out with a complete that has good enough parts for a beginner and made for beginners and only spend $100 and have extra for pads and clothes and whatever else you want. Good luck hope this helpshttp://www.skatesonhaight.com/Skateboard…http://www.skatewarehouse.com/DK.HTML?Sh…http://www.a1skateboards.com/http://www.activemailorder.com/Active/sk…
