We had a major problem with it a few years ago,several kids got hit by cars while skate boarding in the street or jumping off the curb into traffic. They have since built a skate park,but it’s location isn’t easily accessible to alot of those who want to use it.
Skate boarding is on the decline in my area thank goodness. Although I still have to be a witch and tell a few to move along when they think they can use my front porch as a skate board jump.
We have a big problem right now with vandalism associated with a portion of the teens. Our town had to enact a curfew last year. I have lived in this town for 48 years and in the last 3 months I have had my car broken into twice and a young man tried to grab my purse right outside my front door last week.
In my town yeah….They require us to wear helmets and if we don’t they confiscate our boards away. After the second time you have to pay a large fee to get it back….Its bad, were not allowed to skate anywehere and they don’t even want to build a skatepark for us to skate…….But their willing to build a baseball field and basketball field even though we already have tons of them in our area….
We have a skate park for them and a few miles up the road is another skate park,the one Rob Drydek built for his hometown. Boredom is the biggest issue for teens anywhere. Give them something to do and somewhere to go and they are usually OK. Sometimes it is my house they come to.
The cops in my girlfriend’s town pull over the skaters and get them in trouble for skating at the public park while the drug dealers can do whatever they want and the cops say nothing at all

not really .
there are loads of people who skate everywhere in my town.
but, they don’t allow us to skate at school and our library grounds.

we just build skateboard parks here. theyre nice too.

well my mom never actually takes me to a real skatepark so i just skateboard around the house.
